I’ve spent years struggling with my body, spending most of my life as a curvy, voluptuous person wishing I were thinner. These days I’m about in the middle between my heaviest (250 pounds, 10 years ago) and thinnest (145 pounds, 3 years ago due to complications from persistent chronic illness). My weight still fluctuates as I am healing, and it’s hard for me to cope with. But I’m finally realizing that I am beautiful no matter what size I am, and my spirit and positivity shine through me and make my flesh alive and powerful and gorgeous.
